Word Crime.In recognition of the 40th anniversary of the death of Lenny Bruce, tonight’s broadcast of the Daedalus Howell Show takes a look at the issue of censorship. Our guests include actor Ronnie Marmo who portrayed Lenny Bruce in the critically-acclaimed production of “Lenny’s Back” in Los Angeles; return guest David Landis of Ultimate 80s.com discusses the infamous labeling of rock records by the Parents Music Resource Center; Gabe Wardell, executive director of Atlanta-based non-profit Image Film and Video Center speaks to censorship in film; and author and publisher Deborah Greenspan of Llumina Press, chats about the pitfalls of contemporary censorship.
