Launched in 2004 as DaedalusHowell.com, this site was initially a means of eponymously archiving and showcasing my published work. Eventually, I came to appreciate blogging as a medium unto itself and have since endeavored to actively contribute worthy writings, podcasts and videos to the blogosphere. This has proven both a personally and professionally satisfying endeavor, which has come to shape much of my career in recent years.
In early 2009, I re-launched the site with the user-friendly domain name DHowell.com (yes, even I occasionally find the latent diphthong in “Daedalus” a bit of a bitch) as a means of marketing DHowell Media Group, my branded entertainment and transmedia content-making venture. Since then, I’ve found the site an invaluable platform for sharing my perceptions of the media landscape from the vantage of a would-be micro-mogul living in the wine country.
`The site is presently powered by WordPress 2.9 and the current theme is a modified version of “Thesis” by DIYThemes.
Moreover, DHowell.com was confirmed as XHTML 1.0 Strict byWC3 Markup Validation Service.
The exclusive “labyrinth logo” was designed by Nubby Twiglet, a Portland, OR-based designer.
DHowell Media Group is a division of DHowell LLC.
